While it might be a weed to some, it is one of the most sought after healing herbs for many. You have perhaps heard of this weed which can tenderly detox your body and act as a herbal remedy for many health problems. It is affordable and safe enough to be used during pregnancy (of course not for detoxing but only for its iron) - the secret is out, dandelion is here. Dandelion can be used as a nourishment provider for the whole body similar to the reason why you consume vitamin and mineral supplements because of the plethora of important vitamins and minerals that it contains. It contains several essential vitamins and nutrients like vitamins A, C and K, Choline, B-complex, iron, silicon, magnesium, manganese, potassium, sodium, phosphorus and copper. Using the leaves for making salads is very common with nutrition-conscious eaters.
Dandelion can detox the liver and this results in restoration of normalcy in any hormonal disturbance. This happens because the liver then metabolizes the hormones. Menopausal symptoms along with irregular menstruation and PMS can be managed if the liver functions optimally.
The diuretic action of dandelion aids in weight loss. Its mode of action does not have anything to do with the intrinsic reason for weight gain, but it can help in effective weight loss without exhausting the critical potassium level of the body.
If the cause behind weight gain is indigestion, then dandelion can be used. With the improvement of bile production by the gall bladder, it also helps in regularizing bowel movement. You could take it for a couple of months to take better care of your liver and gall bladder but you must reduce taking it slowly. The expected action from this weed include activation of several natural actions and secretions of the digestive system like it does with indigestion. You need not put in any effort but it restores and re-strengthens your digestive organs. Dandelion is especially recommended for people who face problems in digesting fat, as their bile production is not up to the mark.
Do not use dandelion to detox if you are allergic to it nor if you have gallbladder inflammation, intestinal blockage, or bile duct obstruction. 250 to 500 mg thrice a day with meals is the suggested dose for adults. Physician advice is recommended before use. Is not nature's bounty doing you good? |
