There probably isn't a person on this planet that hasn't suffered pain at some point and the reason we have this distasteful experience is as a defense against continuing a particular action; like a person who picks up something heavy and hurts their back, so the pain stops them from picking up anything else. Pain can come from any type of injury, illness or condition but it is then our job to locate where the pain is originating from to stop it. The real problem occurs when the pain will not go away despite out best efforts to treat the cause of it.
Many of us have experienced this to a degree when we suffer a headache or a migraine but it also refers to conditions like arthritis and back pain. There is no preventative action you can take to stop chronic pain and it can affect someone at anytime during their life from almost any situation from accident, injury or disease. Often the cause of chronic pain is actually cured but the nerves still believe the condition is still present and the pain will often become the condition itself.
Natural pain relief treatments are becoming more popular as many people have decided that prescription medication taken over prolonged periods is not only harmful through adverse side effects, but to maintain the effectiveness of the drugs, increase dosages must be consumed. Although there are a number of natural pain relief systems in use, probably the most often used is acupuncture especially by those who unfortunately suffer with chronic pain. Using tiny and incredibly thin needles, acupuncture is an ancient medical treatment.
Anyone that has used acupuncture will say how effective it is and those that use it are generally suffering from chronic pain like that caused by arthritis, back pain and migraines for example. For others, they have found that herbal remedies work well for them as natural pain relief because they do not show any indication of side effects common with prescription medication. There are usually several herbal treatments used in natural pain relief for a particular conditions; popular herbal remedies include Emu oil, which can alleviate the pain of arthritis, and good old Vitamin E, which helps minimize scarring.
The only problem to using herbal remedies as treatments is they do not provide instant results but rather a gradual build up; however, they are not going to cause problems to the system as only natural products are taken. If the truth be known then one way of even having to avoid natural pain relief is to change the way you life by eating healthier which means cutting back on processed foods but increasing your intake of fruit and vegetables. Also Sleep is essential to good health just as much as regular exercise is, even if it is only walking every day and using stairs rather than the elevator. |
