The issue of how to remove cellulite is the plight of many women who have body's tissue containing fat that has the appearance of the surface of an orange. Although not life threatening, how to remove cellulite is the aim of any woman (or man) that sufferers with it and of course it tends to get worse with age. There are many reasons for cellulite just as there are many ways of losing cellulite, nonetheless if you are lucky enough to eliminate it, you can have the equally hard task of keeping it off.

Ordinarily, cellulite is found on the thighs, stomach, and the behind and is much more common in females than in men because of differences in the way fat, muscle, and connective tissues are distributed in males and females's skin. This is because women in general have a higher amount of body fat than males. This storage of fat is aided by the female hormone estrogen as additional fat is needed by the woman during a period, maternity and when breast milk is needed. There are other reasons for cellulite including being overweight, but this is not a direct reason although it can make it worse. During pregnancy, a woman's body goes through a number of changes during which time there is an increase in fat deposits, general weight gain and the retention of water.

Most experts agree that the best way of how to remove cellulite is a low calorie, well-balanced diet with food that has high fiber content, and to increase the amount of physical exercise taken. As a aesthetic solution, tanning works quite well, because although the cellulite hasn't actually gone, it seems to vanish because the dark skin camouflages it. It is still thought that the most common cause why some women are more prone to having cellulite is a hormonal imbalance so how to remove cellulite with plenty of exercise under these circumstances may not be enough. However, there are other cellulite treatments you can use such as massaging the affected areas, water therapy to flush the system, creams that burn the cellulite and of course giving up cigarettes.

Some women go one stage further and have suction lipectomy cellulite therapy which removes the cellulite deposits by sucking it out of the skin through small incisions. By massaging the affected are with rollers, the gathered fats are broken up until all the toxins and any water are sucked up out. Even so, this cellulite treatment is costly and not a something every woman wants to experience. Although cellulite is not an illness or medical condition it can be a sign of an unhealthy lifestyle in the individual affected. Discovering the cause of cellulite in each person is the initial step to treating the cellulite and then hopefully as a method of how to remove cellulite altogether.
